Plunger Lift Components
A PCS plunger system consists of a Lubricator which is placed at the well’s surface to allow access to the plunger and to act as a retrieval center for the plunger during runs up and down hole
A Controller is also placed at the well surface to tell the well when to turn on and off, allowing the plunger to run up and down hole bringing liquids and gas to surface.
An arrival sensor is also placed at the well’s surface to tell the controller when the plunger has arrived.
A Plunger, built for the conditions of the specific well and basin, is sent down hole above the bumper spring.
A Bottom Hole Bumper Spring, is set down hole to protect the nipple setting in absence of liquid.
