Nitrogen Gas: A Better Alternative to Swabbing

  • Faster fluid recovery: A typical Nitro2Go™ unit recovers an average of 1,200 Bbl/day. A typical swab rig recovers an average of only 160 Bbl/day.
  • 24/7 continuous operation: Nitro2Go units can unload your well 24 hours a day. A typical swab rig only operates 8 to 12 hours per day.
  • Often more economical: Compared to typical swab rig rentals exceeding three or four days, renting a 24/7 Nitro2Go unit can get the job done in less time at a lower cost.

When Nitro2Go™ Nitrogen Generation makes sense

  • When the customer's typical swab rig rental exceeds three or four days
  • When a large volume of liquid needs to be recovered (more than 500 bbl total)
  • When high daily volumes of liquids are able to be recovered (more than 200 bbl/day)
  • When lost production is a concern OR if the well is capable of high production and gas prices are good (because every day of production counts)
  • When there is not enough produced gas present to kick off well.

Example: New Well

New Well needs to recover more than 500 Bbl of fluid. A swab rig must be rented for four days to remove 500 Bbl, which will cost $7,200 (based on average rental cost of $1,800/day).

Nitro2Go can remove 1,200 Bbl of fluid per day. The New Well operator decides to rent a Nitro2Go unit, which will recover the 500 Bbl within one day at a lower cost of $6,500, including the daily rental and fuel. In other words, Nitro2Go can remove more liquids in one day for $6,500 than a swab rig can remove in four days for $7,200.
